You've done a great job on the web-site. Whereas you're a descendent of Antoine Fregeau, I am a 4th great-grandson of Antoine's oldest brother Pierre-Noel who married Marie-Joseph Cahouet. We sure are a large clan!!

I welcome any information. I am new on the internet. I am not even sure if I am doing this right. I am 47 years old and was named after my dad.

I sought Email advice on Mac computers and Jean Fregeau was kind enough to take the time to help out. Noticing her French name I followed the lead she gave me to this great site. Congratulations and very best wishes to all. Alain Arnot (French, living in Central Mexico since 1970)

Her sisters are Irene Fregeau (deceased) and Eva Fregeau, and her brother is Leo Fregeau. I think this is great! I will visit this website frequently.

I was thrilled to see the Fregeau website. My Gr. Gr. Grandfather Joseph Fregeau dit la Planche came to the U.S. with his family. He was married at St. Jean Baptise de Rouville, Quebec on 18 September 1809 to Marguerite Lajeunesse (Des Marais). They are both buried in St. Gertrude cemetery in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. Joseph was the son of Jean Baptiste Fregeau who married Josephte Lanoue on 11 October 1779 at St. Francis du Sud de Montmagny I have been researching my family since 1974.

Very nice page. Of course my interest in the Fregeau name peaked my curiosity. My previous generation of Fregeaus hailed from Rhode Island so I wonder in reading some of the bios????? Is there a connection. My Grandparents were Napoleon and Alice Fregeau who came from Canada and settled in Providence, then Central Falls. Anyway great page......Steve Fregeau
